Moving Tips
Preparation is key to ensure an awesome move day. If you are not scheduling us for white glove wrap, pack, and box service and you plan to do that yourself this is the best way to save on your total move cost. We are happy to discuss more detailed moving prep so send us a chat request or give us a call.

Ideally you should have all your furniture clean and empty. Please have the floor free of rubbish and tripping hazards. When confirming your move please advise if you have new flooring concerns. Please supply booties if you wish for crew to use them as we may not always have some.

Staging boxes in uniform box stacks at the lowest level of the home or in the garage is a great time saver. Have a pile that is for fragile and extra fragile boxes so we know where to find them! Good legible labels and stickers also help.

When the crew arrives we begin with a walkthrough of the property giving each room a visual scan before we begin moving. Please share any repaired furniture, caution items, extra fragile items, or weak points that come to mind during the thorough initial walkthrough!

When you drive your rental truck you can save significantly on the total cost of your move by hiring pack and load movers.
If your Job is too big or too small for us we are happy to pass you on to the right company if we cant make it happen for you. We suggest searching from the list provided on the ODOT website to find a best option for you.

Pack and loaders provide a specialized labor service for those who want to rent a truck and move themselves but not do all the packing and heavy lifting. Oregon HB 2817 specifies that pack and loaders are exempt from motor carrier regulations if:
They do not provide or operate a vehicle for moving household goods.
Act as an agent for someone who does provide or operate the vehicle.
NOTE: Watch out for businesses that publicly advertise a service to pack and load household goods, then offer to provide a truck when you call. Oregon law allows a person to offer pack and load services, but it does not allow that person to provide the vehicle used in the move.
